AmCham Indonesia held its second Food & Agriculture Committee Meeting of 2026 at Kraft Heinz Indonesia office on August 3, bringing together members to discuss key regulatory developments and advocacy priorities shaping Indonesia’s food and agriculture sector.
The session featured valuable remarks and insights from Committee Chairs Triyono Prijosoesilo from Coca-Cola Indonesia, Nani Hidayani from Mead Johnson Nutrition/Reckitt, and Gabrielle Johny from PepsiCo. The meeting also provided an opportunity to review the Committee’s activities and advocacy progress during the first half of the year and align its strategic priorities for the months ahead.
Participants shared updates on major policy issues affecting the sector, including the implementation of mandatory halal certification, commodity balance and import restrictions, Nutri-Level labelling and GGL policy developments, as well as recent developments concerning food labelling and advertising. Members also discussed upcoming government engagements and exchanged perspectives on emerging regulatory and operational challenges to help shape the Committee’s advocacy agenda for the second half of 2026.
These efforts aim to promote continued engagement between the private sector and government stakeholders and support a more predictable, transparent, and competitive policy environment for Indonesia’s food and agriculture sector.
AmCham Indonesia extends its appreciation to all Committee members for their active participation and valuable contributions. We also thank Kraft Heinz Indonesia for its generous hospitality in hosting the meeting.
