Daily Cases Fall Below 1,000
Indonesia saw new daily Covid-19 cases drop below 1,000 for the first time this year yesterday, Oct 10, with only 894 new cases and 39 deaths and 18 provinces reported zero deaths. Although the curve is flattening, the government and epidemiologists warn the possibility of a third wave here still exists, particularly after the Christmas and New Year holidays, combined with the emergence of new virus strains.
Indonesia received 2,000,700 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, yesterday, Oct 10, which will be distributed across 12 provinces. With this 87th shipment, Indonesia has now taken delivery of 280,527,920 vaccine doses in total from several sources.
The Pfizer vaccines arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and Juanda Airport, East Java. The Soekarno-Hatta vaccines will be distributed to health offices in Riau Islands, Jambi, Bengkulu, Riau, North Sumatra, Aceh, East Nusa Tenggara, South and West Nusa Tenggara, Gorontalo and West Java. The Juanda Airport vaccines will be distributed to the East Java Health Office.
More than 100 million Indonesians have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, and around 57 million their second dose, according to Covid-19 Task Force data released yesterday, Oct 10. Some 686,187 people received their first dose yesterday, and 500,639 people their second dose. Indonesia has increased its vaccination target to 208.2 million people (previously 181.5 million) following the inclusion of children aged 12-17 in the vaccination drive.
As we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and adapt to a “new normal” at work, health and safety is the core priority of any business, and vaccination has become a near-mandatory requirement for all aspects of life and work. But even vaccination is not free from the risk of fraud.
Individuals have forged vaccination certificates for various reasons, including to fulfill requirements for work. This places everyone at risk. Hill & Associates understand these risks and their implications for your business.
Hill & Associates has designed a Vaccination Check to help protect businesses from both fraud and health risks. Kindly see the attached leaflet and press release for details.
