AmCham Indonesia’s Over-the-Counter (OTC) Working Group held a virtual courtesy meeting with Wardhono Tirtosudarmo, Head of the Working Team for Electronic-Based Government System (Sistem Pemerintahan Berbasis Elektronik/SPBE), Regulation, and Governance Procedures, Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (BPOM) on August 13, bringing together the government, pharmaceutical industry, and retailers.
Led by Donna Priadi, Managing Director of AmCham Indonesia, the discussion focused on the implementation of BPOM Regulation 5/2026 and its implications for the distribution of OTC medicines through hypermarkets, supermarkets, and minimarkets, including opportunities to support clear and practical implementation.
AmCham Indonesia appreciates BPOM’s continued openness to dialogue and looks forward to continued collaboration with government and industry stakeholders in supporting a predictable, evidence-based regulatory environment for pharmaceutical distribution in Indonesia.
