AmCham’s HR Committee kicked-off 2023 with an in-person meeting on Feb 14, discussing a wide-range of HR issues and advocacy plans for 2023.
The meeting began with updates on regulations and other issues concerning HR. The Presidential Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perpu) on Job Creation and two Minister of Manpower Regulations were among those discussed, highlighting potential changes shrinking the sectors allowed to use outsourced workers. This will pose a challenge in terms of talent management. Several new insurance and immigration policies were also discussed.
Member companies shared their concerns and experiences in dealing with the above issues, along with highlighting several HR practices that companies have to be aware of in operating in Indonesia.
