AmCham Indonesia held an ICT Committee meeting on Personal Data Protection Implementing Policy at WeWork Revenue Tower on Oct. 16.
The session featured Harry Kuswara, Associate Partner at HHP Law Firm, who provided an overview of Government Regulation 33/2026, which implements Law 27/2022 on Personal Data Protection (PDP). Dandy Satriatama, PDP Working Group Leader and Senior Consultant at Speyside, moderated the discussion.
Harry highlighted key requirements under the implementing regulation, clarifying how it introduces new provisions beyond the original law. Participants also exchanged views on areas requiring further clarity, particularly regarding its implementation alongside existing regulations, including Government Regulation 17/2025 on the Governance of Electronic System Implementation in Child Protection.
