Dear AmCham Members,
2020 has been a very interesting year for the global economy. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced both the public and private sector to adopt new approaches to survive, and societies to adapt with the "new normal" lifestyle, all of which inadvertently accelerated global digitalization and the growth of the "low-touch economy." This year has been an extremely productive one for Indonesia's digital economy regulatory environment as well, with regulators and legislators rushing to catch up with the fast-evolving sector, while making sure adequate support systems and infrastructure are in place to ensure digitally-dependent "new normal" activities can be conducted evenly and smoothly.
AmCham Indonesia would like to invite you to the year-end IT and Teleconnectivity Committee meeting on Nov 16. This has been an extremely productive year on the advocacy front, especially on several major issues that had been the committee's longstanding concerns such as data management and privacy, e-commerce, digital taxation and local content requirements. This virtual meeting will recap this year's committee activities, provide follow-ups and latest updates in the ICT sector and plan forward for committee activities and advocacy foci next year.
Proposed agenda for the meeting:
