The US Chamber of Commerce and AmCham Indonesia will host an in-person 2024 renewable energy mission:Energizing the Future: Advancing Indonesia's Clean Energy Transition, June 12-13 in Jakarta. This Mission serves as a platform to connect key government stakeholders, experts and industry leaders, fostering exploration of collaborative opportunities and attracting increased investment in the energy sector.
Amid global energy challenges and an increasing commitment to sustainability, Indonesia is poised to shape its energy future. Recent regulatory changes prioritize the advancement of renewable energy, decarbonization and emission reduction strategies, showcasing the Indonesian government's ambition to position the nation as a renewable energy leader.
However, despite the growing interest from multinational corporations, the required investment is substantial. Therefore, the government must carefully evaluate regulations to ensure they meet industry needs and are aligned with international standards. Reflecting on lessons learned, it is vital to chart a clear path for effective policy implementation under the next administration.

The Mission is open to Initiative Indonesia and US Chamber ILP members. Non-Initiative Indonesia members may attend the entire mission for a $1,000 fee.
