We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming Corporate Citizenship Committee Kick-Off Meeting on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and Circular Economy, on Tuesday, June 9, at 10:00 – 11:30 WIB (GMT 7).

As Indonesia approaches the end of this policy horizon, discussions are ongoing regarding the future direction of the national waste management framework, including potential strengthening of policies through an EPR Perpres. EPR and circular economy have become increasingly important for businesses operating across global supply chains. Against this backdrop, the meeting will provide a platform for dialogue between the US business community and key Government of Indonesia stakeholders on evolving EPR policy direction, governance, and implementation considerations.

The meeting will be a roundtable discussion focusing on speaker-to-audience discussion, and will focus on Indonesia’s EPR policy direction and the future of the National Policy and Strategy for Household Waste and Similar Waste Reduction and Handling (Jakstranas); regulatory coordination and institutional readiness across ministries and regional governments; and broader governance and investment considerations related to EPR implementation, including implications for trade competitiveness, supply chain resilience, and long-term business planning.

The meeting will be conducted in Bahasa Indonesia and held under Chatham House Rules.
