CSR Biggest Challenge - a Corporate Citizenship Committee Discussion
Nov 04, 2020 / 10:00 - 11:30

Dear AmCham Members and Friends,

CSR evaluation is one of the biggest challenges faced by corporates. While it is mandatory for companies to engage in CSR, most of them do not have a clear understanding of the impact on beneficiaries/stakeholders and the company.

In this session with Dr. Adam Richards (Social Value UK), company representatives can better understand how they can use the Social Return On Investment (SROI) framework to measure the impact, understand the SROI from their social projects & use that data to improve their CSR performance.

Dr. Adam Richards

Adam joined Social Value UK (SVUK) in 2016 as Senior Researcher on the European Commission project SPRINT to apply the principles of social value to long-term care for frail older people across 11 European states.

Before joining SVUK he lectured at universities for over 10 years and has a PhD from Liverpool John Moores University investigating the legitimizing effects of SROI in a social enterprise.

Adam has worked with a number of organizations to help them better understand, measure and manage their social impacts. He is also a member of SVUK’s UK Council and acts as a critical friend to the FRC Group, as part of their Social Value Sub-Committee.

Currently, as well as working at SVUK, Adam also works with Mantel Gwynedd, the County Voluntary Council for Gwynedd, North Wales, to embed social value into their practices and assist their members.
