Are you an American traveling or living in Indonesia? Are you concerned about safety and security? Do you have questions about Indonesian entry and exit requirements, health conditions, local laws and customs, or transportation conditions? Our number one priority is the safety and security of US citizens abroad. The US Department of State has redesigned our website and safety and security information with this commitment in mind.
Check out our newly redesigned and mobile friendly traveler information hub at travel.state.gov. Here you’ll find such things as our Smart Traveler’s Checklist. Following our checklist can help ensure your time abroad is both enjoyable and safe. You’ll learn what’s needed to plan your international trip including country information, required documents, and traveler’s insurance.
An informed traveler is a safe traveler. Our new Travel Advisories and Alerts help US citizen travelers assess for themselves the risks of travel. You’ll find an interactive world map with important and up-to-date travel information for every country on our website. Check out our Indonesia page, where we track such things as natural disasters, travel caution areas, and risk factors. Learn more about your destination at travel.state.gov/destination.
When a crisis happens, US consulates and embassies issue Alerts to let US citizens know what’s happening. Don’t miss an Alert while you’re traveling or living abroad. To receive security and other important updates while traveling, US citizens can enroll their travel plans in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (step.state.gov).
When you #TakeUsWithYou, you have the latest safety and security information at your fingertips.
