As a reflection both of its desire to invest and expand in Indonesia, and it’s longstanding commitment to AmCham Indonesia, Chevrolet, one of the flagship brands of US carmaker General Motors, has presented AmCham with a shiny new red Trailblazer to use as a signature vehicle.

Chevrolet is now the official vehicle of AmCham Indonesia.

The Trailblazer itself is “the biggest and the most powerful SUV in its class,” says the company, boasting a 2.8 liter “Duramax” engine and a remarkable array of electronic systems to keep its occupants both entertained and safe on the road.

On May 4, in conjunction with the 2017 Indonesia International Motor Show at Jakarta International Expo (JIEXPO) in Kemayoran, Chevrolet hosted a ceremonial handover of the Trailblazer to AmCham Indonesia. The vehicle is new to the Indonesian market and the handover was attended by Gaurav Gupta, President Director of GM Indonesia and A. Lin Neumann, Managing Director of AmCham Indonesia.

Gupta expressed GM’s commitment to growing the global motor brand’s business and investment in Indonesia.

“With this partnership, hopefully our work together for many years will be enhanced,” he said, adding that Chevrolet is also committed to establishing Indonesia as a strategic market through vehicles that serve the needs of Indonesians.

“Chevrolet is one of America’s iconic brand names,” said Neumann in accepting the vehicle, “and we are proud to be associated with the company and with this great new automobile.”

Chevrolet was founded in 1911 in Detroit, Michigan, and has over 90 years of history in Indonesia as part of a global business in more than 100 countries that sells more than four million cars and trucks a year.
