Luncheon with Dr. Kuntoro Mangkusubroto (Aceh Reconstruction)
August 21, 2009AmCham Indonesia presented a luncheon program with Dr. Ir. Kuntoro Mangkusubroto, who spoke on the state of reconstruction in Aceh and Nias. Dr. Ir. Kuntoro Mangkusubroto is the Director of the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Executing Agency (Badan Pelaksana Rehabilitasi dan Rekonstruksi) for Aceh and Nias brings to the role his extensive experience in corporate restructuring, emergency relief coordination, and project supervision. Dr. Kuntoro was actively involved in post-tsunami relief work in Aceh immediately after the December 26, 2004 tsunami through his roles with the Global Rescue Network, Indonesia Rescue Network (IndoRescue), and Wanadri (Youth Jungle Explorer and Mountaineering Association). As the Founder and Chairman of Global Rescue Network, he supported the team that was among the first to reach Meulaboh, one of the regions worst affected by the tsunami.
