AmCham Indonesia held a breakfast briefing with special guest speaker Jonathan Winer. Mr. Winer discussed the current worldwide financial crisis and the direction of intervention and policies that were used to stem the slide, with special emphasis on the U.S. response. A former U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Law Enforcement and current APCO Worldwide Executive, Mr. Winer is an expert on banking and financial services and in contact with members of Congress and staffs on the Senate Banking Committee and House Financial Services Committee. Mr. Winer was also in frequent contact with senior economic policy advisers and transition planners for the Obama campaign.
