Luncheon with Dalton Tanonaka, Metro TV Anchor

 May 15, 2008

“Decisions are made every hour of every day that affect what you see on television news programs. What goes on behind-the-scenes may surprise or even shock you...”

So said Dalton Tanonaka, of Metro TV in Indonesia.  A large crowd turned out to hear Mr. Tanonaka discuss the newsroom, the news business and how your daily broadcast is assembled.  Dalton Tanonaka is the anchor of Metro TV’s “Indonesia Now” program.  He is also a featured columnist in the Jakarta Post Weekender Magazine.  He comes to Indonesia with an extensive television career in Asia.  You may remember him from his days at CNN and CNBC in Hong Kong and NHK in Tokyo.  American by birth, he is finding it easier each day to call Indonesia his home.
