Committees

AmCham Committees serve three functions:
- to serve the membership via information and issues exchanges.
- to lobby appropriate entities concerning the issues facing the Committee.
- to brief the Board of Governors.
Committees meet once a quarter in events open to the membership. All members are invited to all Committee meetings via e-mail, facsimile or written letter.
Committee Chairs are appointed by the President. Chairs can select Vice Chairs, who must be approved by the President.
Committee Chairs attend the monthly Board of Governors' meeting. In the absence of Chair at the meeting, the Vice Chair will attend. On a rotating basis, two or more Vice Chairs may be invited to attend the monthly board meeting.
