Connecting and building relationships is one of the keys to business success in most places, but it is especially important in Indonesia, where knowing people is vital. AmCham Indonesia understands the value of meeting the right people in the right places, and for that reason we highlight the social side of business. With networking events every month in a variety of venues throughout Jakarta’s central business district. The goal is simple; have fun and meet good people.
Last month, we held a joint networking evening with the Philippines Business Club Indonesia. The fourth networking evening of the year was held at The Westin Jakarta on April 12, attended by 81 guests.
The evening, set against the backdrop of inspiring views of our cosmopolitan city through the Jatun Room’s windows on the 69th floor – the highest room in the tallest building in Indonesia – The Westin Jakarta.
The strategic location of the central business district, surrounded by embassies and offices, is an ideal setting for events, whether it is for corporate seminars, annual meetings, intimate cocktail parties, fashion shows, or weddings.
AmCham would like to extend a very warm thank you to Santa Fe Relocation, Philippine Airlines, San Miguel PureFood Indonesia, and Oishi Snacks for their generous support of the AmCham and PBCI Networking Evening.
“This is great. I am not a member but I enjoyed the night. It is a chance to meet up and socialize.” said Sandy Hinos, who won the lucky draw of a free Jakarta-US round-trip ticket from Philippine Airlines. Mabuhay! To our friends from the Philippines.
The fifth networking evening of the year was our last business after hours before Ramadhan. Members gathered to meet friends, exchange business cards, and of course enjoy the delectable food and free flow of drinks.
We would like to express our great appreciation to venue sponsor Bengawan restaurant on the 7th floor of Keraton at The Plaza, Jakarta. This was the first time we held our event at the Keraton but we are already LOOKING forward to a return engagement. Chef Rafael and his team served guests a delicious selection of food, highlights included a chocolate fountain and jostle-inspiring mini wagyu burgers with pickled ginger that were snatched up as fast as they were put out to serve.
Guest also enjoyed an outside terrace where they could relax in the open air. Inspired by the Javanese word for “palace,” Keraton at The Plaza, Jakarta offers a unique and modern interpretation of rich Indonesian culture.
Thank you for attending, and our sponsors for your support. We hope to see you again at our next monthly networking evening!
