Dr Ghufron obtained his Ph.D degree at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Newcastle, Australia in 2000. Previously in 1991 he graduated with a MSc. Degree from the Mahidol University, Bangkok, majoring in Tropical Diseases, sponsored by the Department of Tropical Hygiene, Bangkok, Thailand, and in 1988 from the University of Gajah Mada University, Medical Faculty his MD. Degree


He further accumulated his knowledge by attending short courses in health insurance (UCLA USA) and health economics (pharmaco-economic) run by WHO in Australia, in epidemiology (CDC, USA), a visiting scholar at the International Health Department of Brown University USA,. His managing skills and keen writing ability was proven as a Director of the famous model of a managed health care organization university basis known as Gadjah Mada Medical Center (GMC). He has also conducted many epidemiological studies, Health Insurance, managed health care, health financing for indigent people and quality of health care studies. Dr Ghufron’s study results were published in various national and international journals. His knowledge on public health including the management of health care and epidemiology in the context of decentralization have been developed in the field by acting as a consultant in various districts and provinces in Indonesia. Many international agencies such as World Bank, GTZ, Inwent, AUSAID etc has contracted him as the consultant for the projects in the area of social protection. health finance, health insurance. He also as an inviting lecturer teaching on health financing and health insurance in Tokai University Japan, UKM Malaysia, HAS Pakistan, Asia University Taiwan.

With 25 years experience in health service planning and strategy development, Dr. Gershu Paul drives the Siloam Vision, leads the Group’s expansion strategy and manages hospital operations. Dr. Gershu’s background includes health service planning, organization transformation and leading and managing all phases of a project life cycle, from needs assessment, through to implementation. Dr. Gershu’s sound experience in health service strategy development, project management and clinical operations has facilitated his skill development in formulating and implementing solutions to complex operations in a multi-national environment. Dr. Gershu holds Bachelor’s degrees in Surgery and Medicine from the University of Bangalore, India and a Diploma of Sports Studies and an MBA from the University of Otago, NZ. He is also a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators and attended the executive program at Harvard Medical School, USA.

So said Dalton Tanonaka, of Metro TV in Indonesia. A large crowd turned out to hear Mr. Tanonaka discuss the newsroom, the news business and how your daily broadcast is assembled. Dalton Tanonaka is the anchor of Metro TV ndonesia Nowprogram. He is also a featured columnist in the Jakarta Post Weekender Magazine. He comes to Indonesia with an extensive television career in Asia. You may remember him from his days at CNN and CNBC in Hong Kong and NHK in Tokyo. American by birth, he is finding it easier each day to call Indonesia his home.
